Can I Use My EIN Instead of My SSN When Setting Up Stripe?

If you have a Stripe Express account with Stan, you should be able to update this by heading to Settings > Payments > Manage Account.

If you're not able to access this, you likely have a Stripe Custom account. Not to worry, though — you can reach out to our team at friends@stanwith.me, let us know you're looking to update your business information, and provide the following details:

• Business Type Structure (Sole Proprietorship, Single-member LLC, Multi-member LLC, Private partnership, Private corporation, Other).
• Legal Business Name.
• Your Employee Identification Number (EIN).
• A copy of your SS4 to verify your EIN.
