How to Manage Community Notifications

What Notifications Will My Community Members Receive
The amount of notifications your Community Members receive depend on their personal notification settings. Community members can set their notifications to:
- ✅ Daily
- ✅ Weekly
- ❌ Never

All Community notifications are sent via email!
We do not have an app yet for Community to enable push notifications. We understand how push notifications would benefit your business and have added to our our feature request list!
There are two types of notifications your Members will receive:
- Post Notification: This type of notification is sent to your customers if you check the Send an email notification checkbox before making the post
🚨 Please Note:
Your Community Members will receive this type of notification regardless of their notification settings. When you check the Send an email notification box, even Members with notifications set to Never will receive the post notification.

- Community Update Notification: Depending on their notification settings, your members may receive daily or weekly updates letting them know what they've missed
If your Members have their notifications set to Never, they will not receive these notifications!
How can my Community Members change their notification settings?
- Navigate to Settings from the Community Home Page
- Choose a setting and select Save

How can I send an important notification to all of my Community Members?
If you want to make sure all of your Community Members receive a notification regardless of their notification settings, you can check the Send an email notification box right before you post. Here's what that looks like:

Sending frequent notifications to Community Members who have intentionally set their notifications to Never may result in frustration among your Community.
We recommend reserving this feature for super important information you need to make sure everyone in your Community sees!
