How to Create a Course Product

What is a Course Product?

An eCourse product is a series of lessons consolidated into one product offering, usually consisting of video lessons and related materials. Sell your knowledge through an outlined eCourse that can be accessed at anytime of the day.

Below are the most common types of eCourses:

How to Create a Mini Course Product

Recommended Course Type

This type of course usually consists of 1-3 modules, with the objective to cover a single problem and provide several solutions to that problem. A mini course is just a condensed version of your typical online course, and our favorite type of course to offer!

Grab your audiences attention by giving them a short video lesson on a unique topic, perhaps one that requires a bit more detail than just a YouTube or TikTok video.

Online Course

An online course consists of anywhere between 3-25+ modules, generally covering several topics and providing several solutions to each. The only difference between a mini course and online course is the length of it.

Coaching Program

This type of course is no different than an online course, however coaching programs are sometimes intended to be completed within a specific timeframe like the following examples:

  • 12 Week Fitness Bootcamp
  • 5 Week Marketing Makeover

Modules or lessons are typically labeled based on the Day or Week like the following:

Module 1: Week 1

  • Lesson 1: Monday
  • Lesson 2: Tuesday
  • Lesson 3: Wednesday
  • Lesson 4: Thursday

Module 2: Week 2

  • Lesson 1: Monday
  • Lesson 2: Tuesday
  • Lesson 3: Wednesday
  • Lesson 4: Thursday

and so on....

Note: We've created placeholder naming for your Modules and Lesson Titles to provide some guidance. All are completely customizable! Keep in mind, Modules are like chapters in a book and Lessons are different topics within a chapter.

Click on the three dots in the corner to see a few other editing options.

You can also use the Drip feature to control when your customers are given access to specific portions of the course. For example, in the screenshot below, customers will receive access to the first module 2 days after they enroll.

If you flip the Update Customers About Drip Module toggle, you'll see the below! You have the option to send your customers an email update if you choose to down on the Drip feature.

5. After you're finished configuring your first Module, you can dive into your Lessons.

You can fill out the following sections:

  2. Description is a written description of what the lesson is about.
  3. Video is where you can upload your course video for this lesson.
  4. Supporting Materials is a place for you to upload any PDFs, decks, images, templates, etc. that are needed for the lesson.

You can add another Lesson or Module on the main Course Builder page!

6. Next, go to the Thumbnail Preview to edit the following:

  • Heading
  • Subheading
  • Button Title

7. After that, you can edit the Checkout Page.

  1. Upload Header Image
  2. Add Heading & Product Description

8. Edit Pricing and a few other fields! Discount Code, Limit Quantity, and Offer Payment Plan are all included with our Pro plan.

9. Lastly, you can move on to Advanced. A handful of these features are only available on our Pro plan.

Start by editing the Confirmation Email! To help with deliverability of this email, we recommend keeping the confirmation email as simple as possible. The Course Link will give your customer access to your course whenever they'd like to revisit.

10. Once you're done, you can hit Publish at the bottom of the page.

🚨 Please note: If you're creating a Lesson and upload a video to the Video section, your customers will not be able to download it. If you upload other files into the Supporting Materials section, your customers will be able to download it (i.e. PDF, template, audio).
