How Affiliates Get Their Links & Start Selling

Once someone purchases your product, they automatically become an Affiliate and receive their unique Affiliate link! 🀩 Here's the step-by-step process:

✨ Creator Pro Feature: The Affiliate Share feature is only available on the Creator Pro plan. To upgrade visit your Billing Settings tab in your account, or click here to learn more.

How a Customer Becomes an Affiliate

To become an Affiliate, a person must first purchase your product or be granted manual access by you. Once the purchase is complete, Stan will:

βœ… Automatically generate a unique affiliate link for them

βœ… Send them an email with instructions on how to access their link and start selling

Affiliates Receive their Confirmation Email

Once they’ve purchased your product, Affiliates receive an email that includes:

πŸ“© Their unique affiliate link to share

πŸ“© Any instructions you include in your email/Terms and Conditions

🚨 Important: If an Affiliate does not receive this email, they should check their spam/junk folder or reach out to support.

How Affiliates Access Their Links:

Affiliates follow the link in their email to log in or create an account, depending on whether they already have a Stan Store or not:

βœ… If the Affiliate has a Stan Store: they will login with their Stan Credentials

Their Affiliate Tab is unlocked in their Stan dashboard, where they’ll find:

πŸ”— Their unique affiliate link.

πŸ‘£ Tracking tools to monitor clicks, sales, and commissions.

βœ… If the Affiliate does not have a Stan Store: They’ll be prompted to create a free Affiliate Only account. This type of account allows them to access their link and cash out their commission, but doesn’t include Stan Store features

After signing up, they’ll see their Affiliate Dashboard, where they can:

πŸ”— Copy their affiliate link.

πŸ“ˆ Track their sales, commissions, and cash outs.

Affiliates Set Up Their Payment Method (Stripe Standard or PayPal)

Before Affiliates can receive their earnings, they must connect a Stripe Standard Account or PayPal Business account in their Income Tab. For more information about these options, please check out this article.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • If an Affiliate already has a Stripe account on another platform, they may need to cash out externally through their Stripe dashboard instead of Stan’s Income tab.
    • If your affiliate is seeing information in their Income tab that may not match their commission and cash out history, this is because Stripe Standard accounts may be linked to other platforms. When they cash out Stan commission along with commission from other platforms in Stripe, this may cause the balance in the Income tab to appear negative. Please direct your Affiliates to reference their Stripe Standard Dashboards for accurate information about their funds!
  • To avoid payout issues, it’s recommended that Affiliates create a new Stripe account for their Stan Affiliate earnings.

Affiliates Can Start Promoting or Selling

Once everything is set up, Affiliates can start promoting by sharing their unique Affiliate link anywhere:

πŸš€ On social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, etc.).

πŸš€ In emails or newsletters.

πŸš€ On their website or blog.

πŸš€ If they have a Stan Store, they can feature their Affiliate link by setting it up as an External URL Product.
