How do Affiliate Only Accounts connect payment processors?

When your Affiliate creates their Affiliate Only account, they will be able to connect their Stripe Standard Account or PayPal Business Account in Settings>Payments

If an Affiliate already has a Stripe account on another platform, they may need to cash out externally through their Stripe dashboard instead of Stan’s Income tab.

πŸ“£ Heads Up!

If your affiliate is seeing information in their Income tab that may not match their commission and cash out history, this is because Stripe Standard accounts may be linked to other platforms. When they cash out Stan commission along with commission from other platforms in Stripe, this may cause the balance in the Income tab to appear negative. Please direct your Affiliates to reference their Stripe Standard Dashboards for accurate information about their funds!

What is the timeline for Affiliate Payouts?

Both the Original Creator and Affiliate will be able to cash out after a 7 business day holding period. We'd love to provide a bit of context here that this period allows for the Creator to issue any necessary refunds before any funds have been cashed out by either party.

After 7 business days, the funds will be released to your account, at which point they will settle in either Stripe or PayPal. This process can take anywhere from 12 hours to 5 business days, depending on your location! Hang tight β€” your funds will be available soon 😊

How do Refunds work with the NEW Affiliate Share Feature?

Only the Original Owner of the Affiliate product will be able to process refunds for an Affiliate product! There are two scenarios for Refunds for New Affiliate products: 
  • The original Creator will be able to refund an Affiliate's customer in full before the 7-day holding period.
    • When the original Creator processes a refund in full, the Affiliate will not receive their commission.
  • If an Original Creator wants to process a refund after the 7-day holding period for an Affiliate's customer, please reach out to our support team, as we will need to reach out to our engineering team to process a refund in full. 
    • This refund would include the full amount coming out of the original Creator's Income tab, whereas the Affiliate keeps their commission (since it's after the 7-day hold).
