How do Affiliate Only accounts connect to payment processors?
When an Affiliate creates their Affiliate Only account, they'll be able to connect their Stripe Standard Account or PayPal Business Account by going to their Settings > Payments:
If an Affiliate already has a Stripe account on another platform, they may need to cash out their Affiliate commission externally from their Stripe dashboard instead of through Stanβs Income tab.
π£ Heads up!
If your Affiliate sees mismatching information between their Income tab and their actual cash-out history, it's likely because their Stripe Standard account is linked to other platforms.
When they cash out multiple commissions (from Stan and other platforms) in Stripe, this can cause the balance in the Income tab to appear negative. Please direct your Affiliates to reference their Stripe Standard Dashboards for accurate information about their funds!
What is the timeline for Affiliate Payouts?
Both the Original Creator and Affiliate will be able to cash out after a 7 business day holding period. This period allows the Creator to issue any necessary refunds before funds are cashed out by either party.
After 7 business days, the funds will be released to your account, at which point they will settle in either Stripe or PayPal. This process can take anywhere from 12 hours to 5 business days, depending on your location! Overall, Affiliates' funds can take up to 12 days to become available for cash out.
When an Affiliate makes an Affiliate sale, they will receive an email about their commission earned, like this example below:
How do refunds work with the new Affiliate Share Feature?
The original Creator will be able to refund an Affiliate's customer in full before the 7-day holding period. When the original Creator processes a full refund, the Affiliate will not receive their commission.
- If the original Creator processes a refund after the 7-day holding period for an Affiliate product, please contact our support team, as we'll need to reach out to our Engineering team to process the refund in full. This refund would include the full amount deducted from the original Creator's Income tab, whereas the Affiliate will keep their commission (since it's after the 7-day hold).
