How to Create a Collect Emails / Applications Product
What is a Collect Emails / Applications Product?
A Collect Emails & Applications product β also known as a Freebie or Lead Magnet β allows you to collect information from your audience, such as an email address or phone number, in exchange for a free offer. This product type is not intended for direct sale, so you wonβt be able to add a price.
The item you offer must be accessible via a downloadable file or a direct link to an online page. Common examples include templates, guides, or short e-books β simple, valuable resources your audience can access instantly π
How to Add a Collect Emails / Applications Product to your Stan Store:
- First, head over to your My Store tab.
- At the bottom of the page click on the + Add Product button.
- Select Collect Emails / Applications.
- On the Thumbnail tab, you can choose how you'd like the product to display on your storefront by adding an image. You can also add in your Title, Subtitle, and Button text.
- If you scroll down, you can also choose what information you would like to collect from your customers (π‘Name and Email are required). You can click the + Add Field button if you'd like to request additional information, like a phone number for example!
- On the Product tab, you can upload your product file or paste the product link by instead clicking Redirect to URL. See below for further details on uploading your file or URL!
- On the Options tab, you can customize your Confirmation Email or connect an Email Flow (Just a heads up β Email Flows are only available on our Pro plan β¨).
- When you're done, hit Publish and you're all set! π
How to Upload File(s) to the Collect Emails / Applications Product
- Go to the Product tab.
- Click on the Upload button in the middle of the page. If you don't see the Upload button, make sure you've selected the Upload File option.
- Select your file(s) and wait while the system uploads them. Once you see the green checkmark next to the file(s), your files are successfully uploaded!
How to Add a URL to the Collect Emails / Applications Product
- Go to the Product tab.
- Click on the Redirect to URL button.
- Copy and paste your link into the first field. Don't forget that the link needs to include http:// at the beginning of the link!
- In the second field, name the link how you would like it to appear to your customers.
π¨ Heads up!
- The confirmation email will only be sent if there is a file or a link added to the product. If there is no file or link, the confirmation email will not be sent to your customers.
- You can upload any kind of file to your Collect Email / Applications Product, including, but not limited to: XLS, PDF, PSD, EPS, SVG, and MP4. The recommended size for your digital download is under 500 MB.
