Community Best Practices

Now that your Community is up and running, we have a few suggestions you may want to check out! 🤩

Best Practices

Setting Up:

  • 🗂️ Create Categories!
    • If you have a few different topics or discussions happening in your Community, the best practice is to create categories for each topic. Check out instructions for how to do that here!
  • 🎁 Add a free Community membership to other products
    • A great way to build trust and loyalty with your audience is to give them free access to your Community with another purchase. As they engage with your Community, they will keep you top of their mind and have them coming back to your store for more!
  • 🔗 Add Helpful Links and Resources
    • If you have supporting materials for your Community, make sure to utilize both the helpful links and Resources sections. You can add videos, files, articles, and more as Resources while providing relevant links — like your store and referral links!
  • 💻 Schedule Integrated Webinars
    • The best way to connect with your Community is talking directly to them! With our new webinar integration feature, you can build webinars just for your Community and add them to your Community home page. Check out this article to learn how!

Launching:

  • 📱 Create anticipation for your Community by making a waitlist
    • Before you launch your Community, you can generate excitement with your audience by making a waitlist/pre-sale product! You can give anyone who signs up for the waitlist a discount on their membership to get people talking — this will help you grow your Community right away!

Engaging:

  • 🔐 Tell your Community members to save their username and password to their password manager
    • They will likely need to sign into your Community more than once, and if they create a login just for your Community, best practice is to save that login information for next time.
  • 🔖 Have your members bookmark your Community link in their browser
    • Your Community link is sent in the invite email your customers receive. To avoid retrieving this email each time they visit your Community, instruct your members to save the link as a bookmark.
    • You can also have your members add your Community link to their home page on their smart phones — Mobile app coming soon, but this is a great work-around for now! 😉
  • 📊 Polls
    • A great way to poll your Community is to make a post and assign different meanings to different emoji reactions! This way, your Community members can vote in polls right in your Community!
      • Example: I'd love to see how many Community members like like chocolate or vanilla ice cream! Please react to this post and vote 🍫 for chocolate or 🍦 for vanilla!
  • 🗣️ Testimonials
    • If you want your Community member testimonials to have a home in your community, you can create a category for testimonials! Now, your Community members can post their awesome reviews right in your feed!
