How to Cancel Your Customer's Subscription

Canceling Your Customer's Subscription

There are two ways for your customer to cancel a Recurring Membership, Community, or Course Product subscription:

  1. You, as the Creator, can manually cancel their subscription from your dashboard.
  2. Your customer can cancel their subscription via the automated email they receive each time they're charged.

How to Cancel Your Customer's Subscription

If you need to cancel the subscription on your end, please follow these steps:

  1. Head to your Customers tab
  2. Select the customer's name to view their Overview page as shown below.
  3. Click on the 3 Dots next to the subscription and select Cancel Subscription.

📣 Please note that canceling your customer's subscription will stop any future charges from being made, however, it will NOT refund the customer. If you would like to refund your customer, be sure to go to the Income tab, select your customer's name and then click Refund:

This process also applies to both Community and Course Product memberships! If you need to cancel a customer's subscription to either of those products, please follow the above steps.


How Your Customer Can Cancel Their Subscription via Email

Your customer may cancel through an automated email they receive each month. The email has a link that will allow them to cancel at any time.


🚨 Heads up!

  • If you cancel your Stan account, you'll need to manually cancel your customers' membership subscriptions or they will continue to get charged.
  • Deleting the product from your Stan Store will not cancel your customers' subscriptions. You'll need to do it manually!
