Canceling your customer's subscription

There are two ways your customer can cancel a Recurring Membership, Community, or Course subscription:

  1. You, as the Creator, can manually cancel their subscription from your dashboard.
  2. Your customer can cancel their subscription via the automated email they receive each month.

How to cancel your customer's subscription

If you need to cancel a subscription on behalf of your customer, follow these steps:


  1. Head to your Customers tab.
  2. Select the customer's name to view their Overview page as shown below.
  3. Click on the three dots next to Subscriptions and select Cancel Subscription.

This process applies to a Recurring Membership, Community, or Course subscription. If you need to cancel a customer's subscription for any of these product types, please follow the steps above.

💡 Reminder!

Canceling your customer's subscription will stop any future charges from being made, but it will NOT refund the customer. If you'd like to issue a refund for your customer, go to the Income tab, select your customer's name, and click Refund.


How customers can cancel their subscription via email

Your customer can cancel their subscription at any time by using the cancellation link within the automated emails they receive each month.


The email should look something like this:


🚨 Heads up!

  • If you cancel your Stan account, you'll need to cancel your customers' subscriptions manually. Otherwise, they'll continue to get charged.
  • Deleting a product from your Stan Store will not cancel your customers' subscriptions. You'll need to do this manually!
